$-15y+7y+1=3-8y$

by simplifying the left-hand side,

$=> -8y+1=3-8y$

by adding $8y$

$=>1=3$ ,

which is never satisfied.

Since the equation cannot be satisfied regardless of the value of $y$ , the equation has no solution.
