Remove the common term, w, from within the parentheses:
4(5w^2-2w) = 4w(5w-2)

or, multiply the terms inside the parentheses by the 4 from outside
4(5w^2-2w) = 20w^2-8w

It really depends upon what you consider a better "simplification"

The answer is 4w(5w-2)

You just have to collect w

4(5w^2-2w)=4(5w*w-2*w)=4w(5w-2) and you're done.
