Start with the parent function #cos(x)# then apply the translations.

This is a cosine function with the following translations:

1) Amplitude is 4, but the negative sign flips the graph over the horizontal axis .

2) The #-pi/6# will shift the entire graph to the right #pi/6# units

3) Finally, the value #2# shifts the entire graph upward 2 units.
