The domain of a function f(x)f(x) are all the values of xx for which f(x)f(x) is valid.

The range of a function f(x)f(x) are all the values which f(x)f(x) can take on.

sin(x)sin(x) is defined for all real values of xx, so it's domain is all real numbers.

However, the value of sin(x)sin(x), its range , is restricted to the closed interval [-1, +1]. (Based on definition of sin(x)sin(x).)
