Standard form equation#-> y=mx+c.,..........(1)#

You are given #(x,y)-> (1/5, -3/10)#

You are also given #m-> 6/25#

Substitute in and solve for c

So equation (1) becomes

#-3/10=(6/25)(1/5)+c#

To make things simpler multiply everything by 25 giving

#(-3)(2.5)=(6)(1/5)+25c#

#25c=-7.5 -1.2#

#c=(-7.5-1.2)/25#

#c=- 8.7/25#

To remove the decimal multiply by 1 but in the form of #10/10#

#c= -8.7/25 xx 10/10 = 87/250#

so equation (1) becomes

#y=6/25 x-87/250#
