Solve #-25<5(w+3)#.

Flip the inequality to get w on the left side.

#5(w+3)> -25#

Distribute the 5.

#5w+15> -25#

Subtract 15 from both sides.

#5w+15-15> -25-15# =

#5w> -40#

Divide both sides by 5.

#(5w)/(5)> -40/5# =

#w> -8#

Note: If you don't flip the expression to get w on the left side, the solution will be #-8 < w#, which is the same answer.
