$6^3-9^3=-513$

You could factor out a $3^3$ from each term, but in the long run I think it is simpler to just do the arithmetic:

$6^3 = 6xx6xx6 = 36xx6 =216$

$9^3 = 9xx9xx9 = 81xx9 = 729$

$6^3 - 9^3 = 216 - 729 = -513$
