$y = csc (\frac{x}{2}) - 1 \notin (- 1 - 1, 1 - 1) = (- 2, 0)$ $y= csc ( x / 2 ) - 1 notin ( -1 -1, 1 - 1 ) = ( -2, 0 )$

and $x \in (- \infty, \infty)$ $x in ( - oo, oo )$ ,

sans asymptotic and half-period

$x = 2kpi, k = 0, +-1, +-2, +-3,...$

The period = $(2pi)/(1/2) = 4pi$
