(-1,2) does not lie on y=-2x+3

Explanation:

(color(red)(-1),color(blue)(2)) is a point on color(blue)(y)=-2color(red)(x)+3
if (and only if)
y=color(blue)(2) when x=color(red)(-1) in y=-2x+3

y=-2(color(red)(-1))+3=+2+3=color(green)(5)

Since color(green)(5) != color(blue)(2)
(-1,2) does not lie on the line y=-2x+3
