Expanding the left side, we get:

#3 - 6x#

which is identical to the right side. So, for any value of #x#, the left side is identical to the right, i.e.

#3(1 - 2x)# is never greater than #3 - 6x#

To get rid of the 3 from #3(1-2x)# divide both sides by 3

#3/3(1-2x)" ">" "3/3-(6x)/3#

But #3/3=1 and 6/3=2#
