How do you simplify $\frac{3 x + 6}{3 x^{2}}$ $(3x + 6)/(3x^2)$ ?

$3 x + 6 = 3 (x + 2)$ $3x+6 = 3(x+2)$

You remove the 3s on both numerator and denominator :

$\frac{3 (x + 2)}{3 x^{2}} = \frac{x + 2}{x^{2}}$ $(3(x+2))/(3x^2)= (x+2)/x^2$ .
