Which quadrants (excluding the origin and axes) does f(x)=3x pass through?

Given the function f(x)=3x,

The graph is a positive slope due to the positive 3 the coefficient in front of x, passing through the origin.

There are 4 quadrants. The top right is the 1st quadrant, the top left is the 2nd, lower left 3rd and lower right 4th.

Hence, given that the function f(x)=3x is a positive slope passing through the origin, for all real values of x, the graph lies in 3rd and 1st quadrants.
