Where is urine stored until it drains from the body?
The urinary bladder
Urine is created in the kidneys through a process of filtration in millions of nephrons. Urine is transported through collecting ducts into the renal pelvis. From here, urine passes through the ureters which connect the renal pelvis to the urinary bladder. Urine is held in the urinary bladder which is inferior to the kidneys. Urine is then excreted through the urethra.
