Vertex = #(2.5, -7)#

Explanation:

We want the equation of a parabola, which is #a(x-p)^2+q# where #(-p, q)# gives us our vertex.

To do this, we take want to have x by itself in the brackets, so we take out #2#.

#y=2(x-2.5)^2-7#

Our p is #-(-2.5)# and our q is #(-7)#

So because vertex is #(p,q)# our vertex is #(2.5,-7)#
