Explanation:

1)Slope intercept form is #y=mx+b#.

2)Your form is also in #y=mx+b# but is simply
missing the #b# portion of it. So your equation is #y=mx#
#m=slope#. #x=#x-intercept.

3)You would begin by graphing the y-intercept, which in this case is #0#. Graph the point at (0,0)

4)Because the slope is positive, you would have a line that slants to the right. Slope is rise/run and #3x# is the same thing as #3/1#.

5)Go up three units and over one unit (making sure you are going to the right of the (0,0) point.

6)Continue to graph, following the pattern, 3 up, 1 over, plotting the points as you go.
