Increased amounts of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere
Leading to drastic change in the climate and catastrophic effects on all living beings

Explanation:

Plants absorb the CO2 in the atmosphere most of of which is produced by the industrial production processes. They take in carbon dioxide and give oxygen thus maintaining the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Due to plants floods and various catastrophes can be prevented. The rainforest which are being destroyed daily are the sinks for carbon dioxide and lungs for the whole earth. If the amount of green house gases keeps increasing the earth's temperature will rise and lead to global warming and climate change therefore plants should be saved in order to sustain life on earth
