The formula for the area of a circle is $pi r^2$

So for the given radius of $(x+3)$ , the area can be written as:

$A = pi(x+3)^2$

This is probably an easier way to use it but it cannot be evaluated until a value for $x$ is given.

This answer could also be simplified to give:

$A = pi(x^2 +6x+9)$

I don't think there is any advantage to removing the brackets,
