Different types of fractions are:
1. Proper Fractions
2. Improper Fractions
3.. Mixed Fractions

Explanation:

  1. Proper Fractions are the one in which there is a smaller no. in the numerator and a larger no. in the denominator.
  2. Improper Fractions are fractions in which there is a larger no. in the numerator and a smaller no. in the denominator.
  3. Mixed Fractions are fractions in which there is whole no. followed by a fraction which can either be proper or improper.

Three types of fraction:

A proper fraction - 2/3, 5,1223,5,12 where the numerator is smaller than the denominator

An improper or top heavy - 13/3, 7/5133,75 where the numerator is larger than the denominator

A mixed fraction - 6 1/3, 18 2/9613,1829 whole number(s) and a fraction together.

You can switch from an improper fraction to a mixed number and vice versa.

vulgar fractions rarr→these are common fraction ( as its name suggests)

e.g. 1/3, 7/5 e.g.13,75etc

decimal fractions rarr→ decimal numbers are also called decimal fractions because of a decimal number can be represented by a vulgar fraction

#e.g. 0.5=1/2; 0.333......=1/3#
