Any equation that can be expressed in the form
$y = c \cdot x$ $y = c*x$ (or equivalently $\frac{y}{x} = c$ $y/x=c$ ) for some constant $c$ $c$ is a direct variation.
$\frac{y}{6} = x$ $y/6=x$
can be written as $y = 6 \cdot x$ $y = 6*x$ (or $\frac{y}{x} = c$ $y/x=c$ )
and therefore is a direct variation with a constant of $6$ $6$
