Equation of the line (-4, 2).(-3, -5)
Ans: y = - 7x - 26
Explanation:
Equation of the line y = ax + b. Find a and b.
Write that the line passing at point (-4, 2)
2 = -4a + b --> b = 4a + 2
Write that the line passing at point (-3, -5)
-5 = -3a + b = -3a + 4a + 2 --> a = - 7 --> b = -28 + 2 = -26
Equation of the line:
Check:
x = -4 --> y = 28 - 26 = 2 OK
x = -3 --> y = 21 - 26 = -5 OK
