$x = - 6$ $x = -6$

As $y = - x$ $y = -x$ , $6 y = - 6 x$ $6y = -6x$

So $x^{2} = - 6 x$ $x^2 = -6x$

Therefore;

$x = - 6$ $x = -6$

Now we substitute $x$ $x$ into an earlier equation which still has $y$ $y$ in it.

$y = - x$ $y = color (blue)(-x)$

$y = - - 6$ $y = - color (blue)(-6)$

$y = 6$ $y = 6$
