Solution is #x=1/3,y=13/6#

The equations are #y=0.5x+2# and #2y=4x+3#

Multiplying the first equation by #2# we get

#2y=x+4# but #2y=4x+3#

Hence #x+4=4x+3# or #3x=1# or #x=1/3#

Putting #x=1/3# in #y=0.5x+2#

we get #y=0.5*1/3+2=1/6+2=13/6#

Hence solution is #x=1/3,y=13/6#
