The solution for the system of equations is

color(blue)(x=-2,y=3

Explanation:

x=color(blue)((4-2y)...........equation (1)

2x-3y=-13.....equation (2)

Solving by substitution:

2x-3y=-13

2 * color(blue)((4-2y))-3y=-13

8-4y -3y=-13

8-7y=-13

-7y=-13-8

y=(-21)/(-7)

color(blue)(y=3

Finding x by substituting y in equation 1

x=4-2y

x=4-2 * color(blue)(3

x=4-6

color(blue)(x=-2
