$x = - 2 / 3, y = 4 / 3$ $x= -2//3, y=4//3$

Simplifying first equation,

$- 9 x - 3 y = 2$ $-9x-3y=2$

Dividing by 3 on both sides,

$rArr -3x-y=2//3 .............(1)$

Now for second equation,

$-7x//2-y//2=-3$

Multiplying both sides by 2,

$rArr -7x-y=-6 .............(2)$

Now adding (1) and (2), we get:

$(-3x-y) + (-7x-y)=2//3 + (-6)$

$rArr -10x = -20//3$

$rArr x=-2//3$

Now, put $x=-2//3$ in (1),

$-3*(-2//3)-y=2//3$

$rArr y=4//3$
