Multiply equation (2) with
6x-4y=3 ------------------(1)
-10x+4y=-2 ------------------(2)
Add (1) and (2), we get -

x=(-1)/4
Substitute
6((-1)/4)-4y=3
(-6)/4-4y=3
(-3)/2-4y=3
-4y = 3+3/2=(6+3)/2=9/2
