Lettuce solve 3x

1^(st)" equation"

3x-y=4

Transfer y

3x=4+y
Just remember this value as in the next equation we have 3x too

color(blue)(x=(4+y)/3

2^(nd)" equation"

3x-5y=2

Put value of 3x

4+y-5y=2

4-4y=2

Factorize 4 outta it

4(1-y)=2

Transfer 4

1-y=2/4

Transfer 1

-y=1/2-1

Common Denominator

-y=1/2-2/2

cancel-y=cancel-1/2

color(Red)(y=1/2

x=(4+y)/3

You get

x=(4+1/2)/3

Common denominator

x=(8/2+1/2)/3

x=9/2 div 3

Invert

x=cancel9^3/2xx1/cancel3

You end up with

color(red)(x=3/2
