$-2x+3y=5$ (assign no. (1))
$x+3y=6$ (assign no. (2))

From (2),
$x=6-3y$

Substitute (2) into (1)
$-2(6-3y)+3y=5$
$-12+6y+3y=5$
$9y=17$
$y=17/9$

Substitute $y=17/9$ into (2)
$x=6-3(17/9)$
$x=6-(51/9)$
$x=3/9$
$x=1/3$

Therefore, $x=1/3$ , $y=17/9$
