How do you solve the following system: 10y=42+2x , 2x + 3y = 8 ?

x=-1.75 , y=3.85

Explanation:

first rearrange the first equation so that it is the same as the second 2x-10y=-42 after place them one below the other.then change the sign of the second equation and remember when you will change the sign of x every other sign in that equation will change.after doing this the sign of x will be different and you will cancel them and then calculate y -3y-10y=-42-8
y=3.85 after getting why put in equation 1 and put the value of y to get x 2x- 10 (3.85)=-42
x-1.75
