Given:

$y=4x-13 ..................................(1)$
$y-3x=-2...............................(2)$

Write (2) as:
$y=3x-2....................................(2_a)$

Using
Equation (1) $=y=$ Equation $(2_a)$

$4x-13 =3x -2$

Collecting like terms

$4x-3x=13-2$

Substitute $x=11$ into equation (1) to find the value of $y$
