$x=19/7$
$y=(-1)/7$

$y=-3x+8$ -----------------------(1)
$2x+3y=5$ ---------------------(2)

Plug in the value of $y=-3x+8$ in equation (2)

$2x+3(-3x+8)=5$

$2x-9x+24=5$

$-7x=5 -24=-19$

$x=(-19)/(-7)=19/7$

$x=19/7$

Substitute $x=19/7$ in equation (1)

$y=-3(19/7)+8=(-57+56)/7=(-1)/7$

$y=(-1)/7$
