The answers are x = 2, 3.

Explanation:

The quadratic formula is:

x = (-b +- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac))/2a

And in your polynomial:
a = 3
b = -15
c = 18

So plugging those in we get:

x = (15 +- sqrt(15^2 - 4*3*18))/(2*3)
= (15 +- sqrt(225 - 216))/6
= (15 +- sqrt(9))/6
= (15 +- 3)/6

So our two answers are:

x = (15 - 3)/6 = 12/6 = 2
and
x = (15 + 3)/6 = 18/6 = 3
