y = 2x^2 - 3x - 2 = 0
D = d^2 = b^2 - 4ac = 9 + 16 = 25 ---> d = +- 5
There are 2 real roots:
x = -b/(2a) +- d/(2a) = 3/4 +- 5/4
x1 = 8/4 = 2
x2 = -2/4 = - 1/2
