You don't use partial fraction, do substitution

$s + 1 = u$
$\mathrm{du} = \mathrm{ds}$

$\int \frac{1}{u} ^ 2 \mathrm{du}$

which is

$\left[- \frac{1}{u}\right]$

and subsitute back you have :

$\left[- \frac{1}{s + 1}\right]$
