As shown below...

In this case i will assume that you mean #[x] -= |x| #

Now we must graph # y= |x| # first of all...

This just mean the line # y = x # but where there are any negative values of #y# we make them there possitive counterpart...

Now we can just perform the tranformation of shiting it down by #5#:

# y = |x| -5 #:
