How do you graph #x+8y>16#?

Gretchen did a fine job of answering this one but I've drawn the graph so I will add my version.

Instead of the formula #y=mx+b# I simply used the x and y intercepts since they were easy to calculate.

One of the tricks is how to show that the line #x+8y=16# is not included in your solution. Sometimes this is done by using different colors for the line and the shaded area. Others prefer to draw small empty circles along the line to indicate that it is not part of the solution. You should probably check what your instructor wants.
