and find the consequent values for #y#
So if #x = 0# then #y = sqrt(3 xx0 +4)# = #sqrt 4# = #2#

Then
if #x = 4# then #y = sqrt(3 xx 4 + 4)# = #sqrt16# = #4#

and if #x = 7# then #y = sqrt(3 xx 7 +4)# = #sqrt 25# = #5#
