x-intercept = 2 , y-intercept = 10
Explanation:
This is the equation of a straight line. When this line crosses the x-axis , the y-coord will be zero. By letting y = 0 and substituting into the equation , we will obtain the x-intercept.
y = 0 : -5x + 10 = 0 → -5x = - 10 → x = 2
Similarly for when the line crosses the y-axis , the x-coord will be zero. Let x = 0 to find y-intercept.
x = 0 : y = 10
