Explanation:

Slope intercept form of equation of a line is #y=mx+c#, where #m# is the slope of line and #c# is its intercept on #y#-axis.

As such one needs to solve an equation for #y# and then coefficient of #x# will give slope and constant term, the intercept on #y#-axis.

As #2y=4x-5# can be written as (dividing each term by #2#)

#y=2x-5/2#

Hence, the the slope of the line is #2# and intercept on #y#-axis is #-5/2#.
