$y = x^2 + 8x + 16$

$x = (-b +- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac)) / (2a)$

$a = 1, b = 8, c = 16$

$x = (-8 +- sqrt(64 - 64)) / 2$

$x = -4, -4$

This can be verifed as under ;

$x^2 + 8x + 16 = (x + 4)^2$

$:.x = -4,-4$
