"from "(1)" we obtain "x=3y-1to(3)

"substitute "x=3y-1" in equation "(2)

3y=15-6(3y-1)

3y=15-18y+6

"add "18y" to both sides"

"substitute "y=1" into equation "(3)

x=3-1=2

"point of intersection "=(2,1)
