#y=-7/13#

Explanation:

Isolate #x# from the second equation and substitute it into the first:

#x=4+7y#

and:

#4(color(red)(4+7y))-2y=2#

solve for #y#:
#16+28y-2y=2#
#26y=-14#
#y=-14/26=-7/13#
sustitute back into:
#x=4+7y=4-7(7/13)=(52-49)/13=3/13#
