I found:
$x=3/13$
$y=-7/13$

Isolate $x$ from the second equation and substitute it into the first:

$x=4+7y$

and:

$4(color(red)(4+7y))-2y=2$

solve for $y$ :
$16+28y-2y=2$
$26y=-14$
$y=-14/26=-7/13$
sustitute back into:
$x=4+7y=4-7(7/13)=(52-49)/13=3/13$
