If temperature remains constant, then because the amount of substance is constant, and the gas constant is, of course, constant, then it means that #nRT# is constant (#pV =# constant is Boyle's law).

So if #pV =# a constant, it means that a plot of pV against p is a straight line which is parallel to the x axis.
