Explanation:

I have assumed that you meant sin^(-1)(3/4) (without the period/multiplication)

If sin^(-1)(3/4)=theta then sin(theta)=3/4

Unfortunately this is not one of the standard "opposite side" over "hypotenuse" ratios.

For all practical purposes, the best you can do is use a calculator or spreadsheet. Your calculator may have a button labelled sin^(-1) or arcsin; for most spreadsheet programs the function would need is asin(...)

Note that by definition, as a function sin^(-1) (or arcsin) is restricted to a range of [-pi/2,+pi/2]
