Solution is $x=0$ and $y=-1$

We can use substitution method. From second equation $2x+y=-1$ , we get $y=-1-2x$ .

Now putting this in first equation $4x+3y=-3$ , we get

$4x+3(-1-2x)=-3$

or $4x-3-6x=-3$

or $-2x=-3+3=0$

i.e. $x=0$ and

hence $y=-1-2×0=-1$

Solution is $x=0$ and $y=-1$
