Distance between $(-4.5,-4.5)$ and $(3.5,3.5)$ is $8sqrt2$

The distance. Between two points $(x_1,y_1)$ and $(x_2,y_2)$ is given by

$sqrt((x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2)$

Hence distance between $(-4.5,-4.5)$ and $(3.5,3.5)$ is given by

$sqrt((3.5-(-4.5))^2+(3.5-(-4.5))^2)$

= $sqrt(8^2+8^2)$

= $sqrt(64+64)$

= $sqrt128=sqrt(8^2×2)$

= $8sqrt2$
