What is the answer to 4(7c+2)=28c?

I keep getting no solution. Is that right?

This has no solution, please see below on why.

Explanation:

So let start using the distributive property where you distributed the 4 on the left side of the equal sign which give us the following:

#28c+8=28c#

So if we subtract 8 from both sides, we get:

#28c=28c-8#

So no matter where we subtract 8, we get a answer that we cannot reduce anymore which leads to no solution.

There is no solution to the equation.

#c# has no value.

Explanation:

#4(7c+2)=28c" "larr# remove the brackets

#28c +8 = 28c" "larr# re-arrange the equation

#28c-28c =-8" "larr # simplify

#0=-8#

This statement is clearly FALSE and there is also no #c# as a variable to solve for.

This is an indication that there is NO SOLUTION to the equation.
There is no value of #c# which will make the equation true.
