Explanation:

6x - 9 + 4 = 5x + 10x - 8

First I would add them all up:

6x - 5 = 15x - 8

Then I would subtract 6x for each side, a hi would cancel 6x. You

do this because you should not have two variables on both sides.

You should have one variable on one side.

This would result in -5 = 11x - 8

I would now add 8 to both sides which cancels the -8

It would look like this:

3 = 11x

Divide each side by 11

You can either leave it as a fraction of 3/11 or turn it into a

decimal.

The decimal would be 0.27 repeating
