For neutralization

The general formula is acid + base $\to$ $rarr$ salt and water

Example: HCl + NaOH $\to$ $rarr$ NaCl + $H_{2} O$ $H_2O$

HCl is hydrochloric acid

NaOH is sodium hydroxide which is a base

They both react to form NaCl which is sodium chloride, a salt and $H_{2} O$ $H_2O$ , which is water.

Now the solution is neutralized, not acidic neither basic
