Castle Hardy Weinburg for the female population only:
1=q2+2⋅p⋅q+p2
1=q+p
where it tells you that
p=0.3 andq=0.7 .
Carriers are heterozygous females, so:
heterozygous=2⋅p⋅q=2⋅0.3⋅0.7=0.42
