Because it is a series of sequential chemical reactions that are catalyzed by enzymes and occur on a cell.

By taking a look of the definition of a biochemical pathway, we can see that the process of photosynthesis totally fits in the definition.

Where carbon dioxide (#CO_2#) and water (#H_2O#) are converted into glucose (#C_6H_12O_6#) and oxygen (#O_2#).
